Lawrence Auls

Hi, I'm Lawrence Auls. Welcome to my profile! I am a business development consultant with recent national and international products

Lawrence Auls has over 50 years of community, business development, advocacy and negotiations at the neighborhood, municipal, state and national levels. At this time in my life I am transferring the gained expertise of myself and others of my generation to the next generation(s) through our initiative of a "Virtual Faculty", and embedding it as means for future generations to do the same. Much of my work are expansions of solutions based around the phrase Anticipatory Democracy. The phrase was coined by Alvin Toffler in his book Future Shock, and was expanded on in the 1978 book "Anticipatory Democracy People in the Politics of the Future", edited by Clement Bezold,Phd. A Contributing author of a chapter in the book "Anticipatory Democracy People in the Politics of the Future." Other contributors, former President Jimmy carter, Newt Gringrich Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. I expand on the thoughts garnered at the 1st in the United States, neighborhood, principally,African American planning session to look 25 years into its future. The Aspen Institute's curriculum has been instrumental in charting the course of my activites.. I continue my work on Anticipatory Democracy which is a theory of civics relying on democratic decision making that takes into account predictions of future events that have credibility with the electorate. My first memory of civic/cvil rights activties as a "gofer" during the Montogomery Alabama Bus Boycott in 1955, Led by Rev.Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. My Uncle a instructor at the then Alabama State Teachers College allowed me to memograph and stack schedules for the cars. i.e. alternative black transportation system during my summer visit.
